“I’ve been taking MJ’s classes for years and will continue to be a client. She has always remembered my injuries and offers modifications when I might need them. After I hurt my back I was still able to take her classes at my own pace without feeling judgement or pressure. She always provides a great yoga experience.”
“MJ was my first yoga instructor and I will never forget that class years ago. I never wanted to do yoga but my chiro insisted so I took a class with MJ and it changed my life. I’ve been an athlete my whole life yet MJ’s classes always would challenge me physically, but not in a way that was intimidating. MJ has a way of making everything seem inclusive and achievable, even when you can’t do the poses. I could always feel the passion and enthusiasm in every one of MJ’s classes and it made me want to be the best version of myself every time I practiced.”
“I was not practicing yoga on a consistent basis until I stepped into one of MJ’s classes in 2018; I was hooked and re-engaged. Practicing with MJ became a top priority on a weekly basis as her classes are an amazing combination of energizing, fun and relaxing in all of the right ways. To boot, she has this positively infectious personality that completely turns your day around whether your interaction with her is in or outside of the studio. Thank you, MJ for always being such a shining light. Next up, to get onboard one of her retreats!”
“My first ever yoga retreat was with MJ @Mjs yoga in Costa Rica on August 2017. I joined the group with no expectations at all and it sure was an experience. Wake up with yoga flow every day, surf with Lilli and family and ending a day with restorative class in paradise is really a treat for me.The best thing about it is food and accommodations are also included so all you need to do is show up, play and chillax . We also did a few local excursion and my favorite is the trip to Santa Cruz . Witnessed a couple of sea turtles laying their eggs and it was awe-mazing !!!!!The trip was well planned and very organized that I decided to join a short weekend retreat at Cactus Moon in Yucca Valley June this year. Aside from 2 yoga classes per a day we hiked at sunrise one morning and did a side trip to Integratron which is pretty interesting. Bottom line, yoga with MJ is challenging yet satisfying . She understands human anatomy really well that makes it easier for students to follow a pose in a safer way. Her classes are well thought and focuses on both physical and mental well being. She speaks from the heart and this make you leave in a good mood after each class and wants to come back for more. Can’t wait to join another yoga retreat in the future!”
